BELLEVUE, Washington - Tarleton State Baseball (13-17) is headed North this weekend for their second conference series against the Seattle U Redhawks (10-18).

The Texans are coming off a series victory against the Sacramento State Hornets, moving them to 2-1 in WAC play. This weekend will mark Tarleton State's first conference road series of the 2025 season.

SERIES HISTORY:

• Tarleton State leads Seattle U in the all-time series, 7-3.
• The Texans currently hold a three-game win streak against the Redhawks.
• This will be the first series between the two squads in Seattle since 2021.
• The Purple and White took down the Redhawks during their most recent matchup, 9-2.
• Tyson Drake and Trace Morrison both tallied hits in their last matchup against Seattle U.

• Slade McCloud has put together quite the senior campaign in 2025, becoming the first and only Texan to register 40 or more hits this season.
• McCloud leads the team in batting percentage (.390) and total hits (45).
• The senior also ranks second among the team in base on balls (13).
• McCloud is one of three players to start every game for the Purple and White this season.
• He has tallied multiple hits in four straight appearances, going 8-15 in his last four games.

TEAM COMPARISON:

• Seattle U only has 25 stolen bases opposed to 67 from Tarleton State.
• The Texans post a .300 batting average while the Redhawks hold a .262.
• Seattle U's bullpen has registered 190 strikeouts, 19 less than Tarleton State's 209.
• SU has three batters with a .300 average or better (minimum 2 PA/G) while the Texans have five.

DRAKE DOMINATES ONCE AGAIN:

• After tallying six home runs in his first nine games, Tyson Drake notched his seventh deep ball of the season last Sunday against Sacramento State.
• Drake tacked on two more home runs (one of them being a grand slam) against Lamar on Tuesday.
• The junior now has nine home runs through 30 games, already tying his total from last season.
