Home games are back at Tarleton State this week, with Tarleton State Volleyball and Soccer hosting Purple Outs on Thursday, Texan Football hosting its Legends Game on Saturday, followed by Tarleton State's Youth Soccer Day on Sunday to close out the stretch. On the road is Men's Golf in Colorado Monday-Tuesday, and Cross Country in Arkansas on Saturday. Â

TEXAN SOCCER returns to Stephenville following its first conference games on the road this past week. Tarleton State has gone unbeaten in six straight games at home, most recently winning 9-0 against Schreiner on Sept. 18. On Thursday, the Texans will host their Purple Out, along with Texan Volleyball, in which free Purple Out shirts will be available for early arriving fans. Tarleton State will play its first home conference game against Southern Utah at 7 p.m. Then on Sunday, Tarleton State hosts Utah Tech at 1 p.m. on Youth Soccer Day. Tarleton State invites all community youth soccer programs to attend. The Texans are 6-4-2 this season, and 4-1-2 at home. There are just eight regular season games remaining, all in conference play.

TEXAN VOLLEYBALL also began conference play this past week on the road, splitting its pair at California Baptist and Utah Valley. The Texans will have just one match this week, hosting UT Arlington at Wisdom Gym on Thursday at 6 p.m. Along with Texan Soccer, it is a Purple Out on Thursday night, with free purple shirts available for early arriving fans. It's also Camp Reunion Day, as Texan Volleyball invites all campers from this past summer to watch them in action at Wisdom Gym. Tarleton State is 7-7 overall this season and 1-1 in WAC play. Thursday marks the start of a three-match homestand for Tarleton State.

TEXAN FOOTBALL just had its first of two open weeks, and is now back in action to build on its blistering 5-0 start to 2025. The Texans will host Southern Utah on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium on Legends Game, with Tarleton State honoring the 2009-10 Women's Golf group as its legendary team. Also throughout the game, the Texans will announce the 2026 Tarleton State Athletics Hall of Fame Class. On the field, Tarleton State will go for a 2-0 start to United Athletic Conference play.

TEXAN MEN'S GOLF stays on the move as the team heads to Colorado to compete in the 15th annual Mark Simpson Invitational beginning Monday at Colorado National Golf Club. Tarleton State will compete at the Mark Simpson Invitational for the second consecutive year. The Texans had their best performance of the fall in Colorado at last year's event, shooting 4-under-par as a team. This year's 19-team field includes Arkansas State, Boise State, Long Beach State, UC Irvine, Utah State, Texas State, UTEP, Denver, Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Sacramento State, host Colorado, and several other teams. Competition opens Monday with 36 holes of continuous play in a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. The final 18 holes are set for Tuesday beginning with a staggered shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

TEXAN CROSS COUNTRY is back in action on Saturday after a lengthy break, set for the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas, hosted by the Razorbacks. The Texans will be competing at the Agri Park Cross Country Course, which will be the site of the 2025 South Central NCAA Regional Meet as well. Last time out, Tarleton State Cross Country placed three individuals in the top seven in the men's and women's 5K races at the Gerald Richey Invitational at the Harold Patterson Sports Complex. The men's squad turned in a fourth-place finish, with the women earning fifth.

THE TODD WHITTEN SHOW will be back on Thursday at 12 p.m., live at Triple Crowd Ford, with free pizza provided by Cicis for all in attendance. Shows will commence every Thursday the rest of the season except for when Tarleton State Football has its final bye week in November. The Todd Whitten Show, presented by Triple Crown Ford, will broadcast live from 12-12:30 p.m. in the lobby of Triple Crown Ford, located at 2975 W. Washington St. in Stephenville. The weekly radio show featuring Texan Football head coach Todd Whitten will air on the flagship station of Tarleton State Athletics, KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville, Texas, and worldwide at TarletonSports.com/Watch.
