WEEK AT A GLANCE: Women’s Golf at NCAA Regionals, Track and Field at WAC Outdoor, Baseball goes for outright WAC championship

Tarleton State's home games have concluded for the 2025-26 campaign, but many Texan spring sports are still going strong, with championships on the line.

TEXAN WOMEN'S GOLF returns to the NCAA Regionals for the second straight season, playing Monday-Wednesday at the Waco Regional, with a single round each day at the Ridgewood Country Club. This year, the Purple and White are once again the 11th seed and will be competing in a field also including top seeded Texas A&M, 2-seed Oregon, 3-seed Tennessee, 4-seed SMU, 5-seed Baylor, 6-seed LSU, 7-seed TCU, 8-seed Tulsa, 9-seed Colorado, 10-seed Northern Arizona and 12-seed Prairie View A&M. The Texans will be paired with golfers from Northern Arizona and Prairie View A&M on Monday and will start from the 10th tee. Each day the teams will be paired based on their team ranking heading into the next round. The Waco Regional will be streamed on Babygrande Golf. All three rounds will be covered, but there is an additional fee to use their service. There are six regional sites each featuring 12 teams and six individuals, with 396 total participants. The top five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional site will advance to compete in the NCAA Women's Golf National Championships.

TEXAN TRACK AND FIELD will compete in the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday-Saturday in Arlington, Texas, at Maverick Stadium. A majority of Thursday and Friday consists of prelim, with the track and field finals all day on Saturday. In the Texans' regular season finale in Dallas at SMU, Emma Holmes set a school record in the 400 meters. Colton Andress punched a spot in the top 48 in the NCAA winning the high jump. AJ Alfaro closed out the event winning the men's 3000-meter steeplechase. Overall across the two days, the Texans posted five program top-10 performances and a school record. A pair of Texans posted top 48 NCAA West region times to potentially punch a ticket to the NCAA West First Rounds at the end of May.

TEXAN BASEBALL will play three games this week, all on the road at Sacremento State to close out the 2026 regular season. The Texans have clinched at least a share of the WAC regular season championship, and need just one win to clinch an outright WAC regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the WAC Tournament. The Texans and Hornets will square off on Thursday at 8 p.m. CT, Friday at 8 p.m. CT and Saturday at 3 p.m. CT. Tarleton State has won eight straight conference games, now 33-17 overall and 11-4 in WAC play.

TICKETS are available for all of the upcoming home events online at TarletonSports.com/tickets. The Tarleton State Ticket Office is located on the west side entrance of Memorial Stadium. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All Tarleton State students receive free admission through the Corq App. All admission to soccer, tennis, beach volleyball, golf and track and field events are free.
