STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State announced Friday that Texan Soccer's inaugural head coach
Pete Cuadrado has resigned, and the Texans have begun their search for their next women's soccer head coach.
Cuadrado has accepted the head coaching position at Coastal Carolina.
"I want to thank
Pete Cuadrado for launching our women's soccer program and for his dedication, investment and leadership throughout the past five years. We wish Pete all the best in his next endeavor," Vice President and Director of Athletics
Steve Uryasz said. "We have launched our search for the next head coach of our Texan Soccer program. We've already received a great deal of interest in the position, and I'm confident we'll hire an elite coach to help our program grow both on and off the pitch."
The Texans announced Cuadrado's hiring at Tarleton State on May 21, 2021, to help begin a brand new program. After the initial 2021 year spent recruiting and building the team, Cuadrado led the Texans to a 26-36-15 record over four seasons.
