GLEN ROSE, Texas – Tarleton State Athletics hosted the 35th Annual Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout, sponsored by First Financial Bank, on Friday at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose, Texas.
 
Played at Squaw Valley for the second straight year, there was a single tee time with 42 teams competing across two courses at Tarleton State Athletics' annual fundraiser golf tournament, beginning at 9 a.m.
 
"It was another great showing at our annual golf tournament, one of the most special events that Tarleton State Athletics hosts, the Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout," Vice President and Director of Athletics Steve Uryasz said. "I want to thank everyone who participated and supported the event and our athletic department today. We're doing great things in Stephenville, and none of it is possible without our supporters."
 
The teams competed in a scramble and had the chance to win prizes for 'Longest Drive', 'Closest to the Pin', and a hole-in-one shot on each of the two courses. All participants enjoyed breakfast courtesy of Sodexo, lunch courtesy of Peacock's, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages courtesy of Hellas Construction. For the first time, there was also a live auction after the round, presented by Focused Care Partners.
 
The top three teams on each course were awarded prizes for their victory.
