STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Soccer has released its 2026 schedule, featuring 19 regular season games, an exhibition to kick off the year, and the United Athletic Conference Tournament in Conway, Arkansas, in mid-November.
 
Among the 19 regular season contests, nine will be in Stephenville and 10 on the road. Six regular season road games will be in Texas, two in Arkansas, one in Tennessee and one in Alabama. All non-conference action will live in the state of Texas.
 
The Texans will see their first action on the pitch in Denton, Texas, with an exhibition at North Texas on Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.
 
New Texan Soccer head coach Erik Solberg will lead his team for the first time in regular season action in the season opener at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. The Texans and Islanders have faced off in each of the last three seasons, with the two teams owning a 1-1-1 record. Last year, Tarleton State won 2-0 at home, with the lone game in Corpus Christi in 2024, a scoreless draw.
 
Tarleton State's home opener will be on Aug. 20 against UTEP at 7 p.m. The Tarleton State Soccer Complex will feature its first action of 2026 during the second day of classes for the university. The Texans and Miners played for the first time last year in El Paso, Texas, with the Miners earning a 1-0 win.
 
Tarleton State will head to Houston for its first of two such trips in 2026, set to take on the Houston Cougars on Aug. 23 at 1 p.m. They've played twice before, with Houston winning both at home and on the road from 2023-24.
 
The Texans will host back-to-back home games the following week, taking on UTRGV on Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. and Lamar on Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. The Texans are 3-0-1 all-time against the Vaqueros, playing them in every season in program history, with all three wins in Edinburg, Texas, and the draw in Stephenville in 2024.
 
To open September, Tarleton State will be on the road for three straight games, at Incarnate Word on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m., at Houston Christian on Sept. 6 at 1 p.m., and at Prairie View A&M on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. The Texans are 1-0-1 all-time against the Cardinals, winning last season 4-1 at home and drawing 1-1 in San Antonio in 2024. Tarleton State and HCU are 1-1 against each, with the Texans' win on the road 2-0 in 2024. The Texans are 2-0 all-time against Prairie View A&M with a combined 8-0 goal advantage. Tarleton State won at the Panthers 3-0 in 2024 after a 5-0 win at home in 2023.
 
Tarleton State is back home on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. for its first home match against Texas Southern. The Texans won 4-0 in Houston last season.
 
Conference-play begins for the Texans' first season in the United Athletic Conference on Sept. 24, a road match at Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. for the first meeting in series history.
 
It will be a rivalry Sunday after that, with Tarleton State hosting Abilene Christian on Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. The Texans and Wildcats are 1-1-3 against each other, both results ending in a draw last season.
 
Like September, Tarleton State opens October with three straight road games, playing at Arkansas-Little Rock on Oct. 4 at 6 p.m., at Austin Peay on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m., and at North Alabama on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. All three matchups will be the first ones in series histories.
 
Tarleton State will then host its longest homestand of the year, three straight in Stephenville against West Georgia on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m., against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 18 at 1 p.m., and against Arkansas-Little Rock on Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. Tarleton State has not faced any of those teams.
 
The Texans' regular season road finale will be at rival Abilene Christian on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m., then Tarleton State will host their regular season finale on Nov. 1 at 1 p.m. against Central Arkansas.
 
The inaugural UAC Women's Soccer Tournament will commence in Conway, Arkansas, this season, hosted by UCA, on Nov. 8-14.
