Tarleton State Athletics' fall season continues with Texan Football hosting Merrimack for Family Weekend. Texan Soccer will take on Texas Southern at home for Greek Night on Thursday, while Texan Volleyball plays Texas Tech in Lubbock, then heads to Denton for the UNT Invitational. Texan Tennis will compete in Abilene for the ACU Invite.
 
TEXAN FOOTBALL
Texan football returns home to Stephenville after beating McNeese on a walk-off field goal by Alejandro De La Poza. With the game tied 24-24 with just 1.5 seconds left on the clock, De La Poza drilled a 24-yard field goal to give the Texans the win, 27-24. This week, the Texans host Merrimack College for Family Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at Memorial Stadium. Early arriving fans will receive a free Family Weekend T-shirt courtesy of Triple Crown Ford in Stephenville.
 
TEXAN SOCCER
Coming off of a 4-0 win at Prairie View A&M this past Friday, Texan Soccer returns home to take on Texas Southern on Thursday at 7 p.m. for the annual Greek Life Match. Greek Life members will participate in the annual "Couch Game", being allowed to bring couches out to the pitch to set up on the sidelines and watch the match in comfort and style! All fans will also be treated to $1 hot dog night to go along with the Greek Life Match.
 
TEXAN SOCCER
Texan Soccer will hit the road to take on Incarnate Word on Thursday at 7 p.m. in San Antonio, then Houston Christian on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Houston. Both matches will be free admission and both will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 
TEXAN VOLLEYBALL
Texan Volleyball hits the road this week after a weekend of hosting the Tarleton State Invitational. The Texans went 2-1 in their tournament, beating Sam Houston in three sets and Denver in five sets. This week, the Texans will first take on Texas Tech in a mid-week matchup on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Lubbock. Following their trip to Lubbock, the Texans will travel to Denton to compete in the UNT Invitational Tournament. They will take on North Texas on Thursday at 7 p.m., East Texas A&M on Friday at 4 p.m., and West Virginia on Saturday at 11 a.m.
 
TEXAN TENNIS
Texan Tennis is coming off of a three-day stretch at the Cowgirl Invite at McNeese where they played their first matches of the fall. The Texans will continue their fall schedule at the ACU Invite in Abilene beginning Sept. 18.
 
THE TODD WHITTEN SHOW 
The Todd Whitten Show will be back on Thursday at 12 p.m., live at Triple Crowd Ford, with free pizza provided by Cicis for all in attendance. Shows will commence every Thursday the rest of the season except for when Tarleton State Football has its final bye week. The Todd Whitten Show, presented by Triple Crown Ford, will broadcast live from 12-12:30 p.m. in the lobby of Triple Crown Ford, located at 2975 W. Washington St. in Stephenville. The weekly radio show featuring Texan Football head coach Todd Whitten will air on the flagship station of Tarleton State Athletics, KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville, Texas, and worldwide at TarletonSports.com/Watch.
