Played two seasons for Southern Methodist before taking a six-year layoff… Slated as the second team quarterback for the second straight season at Tarleton... 

2008: Played in four games as a junior and completed 71.4 percent of passes... Was five of seven for 53 yards... Had a long of 25 yards and averaged 13.2 yards per game... 

Submersed: After his sophomore season, left school to play in band Submersed... The band had two CDs released: In Due Time (2004) and Immortal Verses (2007)... Song “Hollow” reached No. 19 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart... Played bass in the band before it broke up... 

SMU: Played two seasons for the Mustangs with a redshirt year in 2000... Had a career-high 216 yards passing while completing 25 of 54 yards passing against Louisiana Tech... Threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns while connecting on 13 of 23 passes against North Carolina State... Finished the year 54 of 111 with four interceptions and two touchdowns for 516 yards... 

High School: Named 4A player of the year and quarterback of the decade… Was an honorable mention All-American… Member of 4A state championship team in 1998… Set national total offense record… Recorded 49 touchdown passes and 4,700 yards with only 10 interceptions during his senior year… 

Personal: Graduated from Stephenville High School in 1999… Major is physical education… Parents are Diane and Alan Luker… Has one brother, Seth and one sister, Scarlett… Father and brother also played collegiate football… Says his best asset to the team is his knowledge… Hopes to one day become a coach… Birthday is December 18, 1980.
