• He also received the Climb Award given to the most improved player as a sophomore, junior and senior
• As a junior, scored 19 points against Dallas High School, all in the second half
• Led the team from 20 points down at halftime to win the game
• Also played volleyball as a junior and senior and was an all-state honoree
• Holds the school record for most kills in a season and career kills
• Played AAU for the Houston Lynx

• Is a 2008 graduate of Houston’s Bellaire Episcopal High School
• Son of Charles Wesley Hurd III and Jill Duncan Hurd
• Mother tests children with disabilities and father is a defense attorney
• Has two older sisters, Erin and Emily, and a younger brother, Jack
• Major is kinesiology
• Enjoys watching movies, studying and cooking
• Wants to become a Division I basketball coach
• Chose Tarleton because of basketball program
• Team goal is to win a national championship
• Says he is addicted to bowling
