• Batted .307 in 114 plate appearances for the Texans
• Recorded six doubles, three triples and a pair of home runs
• Drove in 19 runs, while scoring 20 times on the season
• Had 206 putouts and a .983 fielding percentage

• Lettered three years in baseball
• Helped lead team to the regional quarterfinals in 2009, 2010, and 2011
• Was named first team all-district as a senior

• Graduated in 2011 from  A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas
• Parents are Dane and Rose Schmitz
• Has one brother, Michael
• Mother Rose played basketball for Texas Tech and threw shot put and discus for Texas Tech and Texas Woman’s University
• Majoring in kinesiology
• Chose Tarleton for the great traditions and for the great coaching staff that would help him achieve success
• Birthdate is July 3rd
