New Mexico State:
Academic All-WAC … Played in 21 games, starting two, as a sophomore in 2014 … He started against Utah Valley (May 4) and Chicago State (May 16) getting a no decision for both games … He ended the season with a 4.74 ERA on 49.1 innings pitched leaving him with a 3-6 record with two saves near the end of the season … Second-most appearances on the team with 21, as well as second in games in relief with 19 … Racked up 40 strikeouts in the season with 11 multi-strikeout games.
 
Brookhaven Community College:
Spent his freshman season at BCC during the 2013 season … Finished the season with a 2.36 ERA and 97 strikeouts en route to earning first team all-conference and all-region recognition … Brookhaven finished the season as regional champs and finished fourth during the National Junior College World Series.
 
Wylie East High School:
Lettered two seasons under coach Heath Andrews … Earned recognition both as a pitcher and as a hitter … As a junior, he had a 1.97 ERA and 51 strikeouts on the mound while hitting .395 with one homer at the plate … During his senior season, Freeman had a 1.90 ERA with 64 strikeouts while hitting .385 and adding another home run … He was a first team all-district selection as a hitter in 2011 and as a pitcher in 2012, when he was also the team MVP.
