All-LSC second team ... Tarleton Special Teams MVP voted on by teammates ... Played in all 13 games ... A part of Tarleton’s first outright Lone Star Conference Championship ... Ran for 1,141 yards and eight touchdowns and averaged 87.7 yards per game ... McCants and Xavier Turner became the first pair of teammates in school history to each run for 1,000 yards in a season ... Was the fifth player in school history to top 1,000 rushing yards in a season ... Helped set a school record for rushing yards in a season with 4,301, topping the record of 2,361 yards ... Tarleton’s rushing offense ranked No. 3 in the nation ... Had five 100-yard rushing games ... Ran for a career-high 181 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns against Texas A&M-Commerce in the second round of the NCAA Playoffs on Nov. 24 ... Led the team with 321 kickoff return yards and returned a kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown against West Texas A&M on Sept. 15 ... Was named LSC Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 17.
 
Sophomore (2017):
All-LSC Second Team … Played in 11 games for Tarleton … Totaled 1,000 all-purpose yards, including 306 rushing on 61 carries … Also had 20 receiving yards, three punt return yards, and 671 kickoff return yards … His 671 kickoff return yards are the second-most in a single season in Tarleton history … Moved to No. 2 all-time in program history in career kickoff return yardage (1,158) and kickoff returns (49) … Had four games with over 100 all-purpose yards … Had a season-high 143 kickoff return yards at Western New Mexico on Oct. 7.
 
Redshirt Freshman (2015):
Named LSC and USA College Football Inc. Special Teams Player of the Week on Sept. 26 and 28 … Played in seven games for the Texans as an all-purpose threat … Rushed 49 times for 312 yards and touchdown … Caught nine passes for 88 yards and a score … Returned 24 kickoffs for 487 yards … Was fourth on the team in all-purpose yards with 887 … Had a career high 91-yard rushing performance against West Texas A&M at AT&T Stadium.

Killeen High School:
Was a three-sport letterwinner… Lettered three seasons in football, as well as four in track and two in baseball… Was a football team captain… Led his team to a district championship as a senior with an undefeated regular season record… As a senior, all-district and all-state honorable mention running back… All-district kick returner.

Is a 2014 graduate of Killeen High School… Son of Tracy and Daniel McCants… Has four siblings: Justin, Jasmine, Danielle and Kendra… Majoring in Kinesiology… Born April 22, 1996.
