Colby Thienpont enters his second season with Tarleton State Baseball in 2026.
Thienpont will be Director of Data/Analytics for the Texans in 2026 after serving as a student manager in 2025. His duties including making the team travel and hotel arrangements, managing team meals, arranging team apparel, and managing student managers.
Thienpont is a San Antonio native and graduated from Harlan High School. There he played two varsity years of baseball and a varsity year of water polo as a senior. He was twice unanimous All-District in baseball and an SAABC All Star, positions of catcher and pitcher. He was named the team’s MVP in 2023 and held the team batting title in 2022, finishing his career with the school’s career batting title. He also was Second Team All-District in water polo, and academically, was twice All District
THSCA and Second Team All State.
He is pursuing his undergraduate degree in statistics with a minor in sports management, scheduled to graduate in 2027.
