Christian Holland is entering his second year at Tarleton as a Defensive Graduate Assistant in 2022.
Holland has great experience of being the anchor on defense himself, as he played four years collegiately at linebacker, three at Idaho State (2015-18) and one at Colorado Mesa (2014). In his senior season in 2018 for the Bengals, he led the team in tackles with 101, recording multiple tackles in all 11 games, including an 18-tackle performance vs. Montana State. That year, he also tied for the team lead in sacks at two and had three pass breakups, a resume that earned him team Defensive MVP.
Holland broke into the coaching world in 2019 at San Marino High School in California. He was the linebackers coach for the Titans for one season, a team that won three of their last four games while holding opponents to just 4.7 points per content in the three wins, including a 35-0 shutout over Temple City.
The Bellflower, California, native attended St. John Bosco High School before attending CMU and ISU. He earned his undergraduate degree in sports management at Idaho State in 2019 and is on track to earn his master’s degree in kinesiology at Tarleton State in 2022.
