Junior (2013):
Honorable mention all-LSC… LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… LSC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16… Started all 10 games for the Texans on defense… Second on the team with 87 tackles, including 49 solo… Also had three tackles for a loss, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and an interception… His 13 tackles at the LSC Football Festival against Midwestern State is the most by a Texan at AT&T/Cowboys Stadium… Had a career-high 17 tackles against Southwestern Oklahoma on Nov. 9.
 
Sophomore (2012):
LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 grade point average… Started all 10 games… Recorded 55 tackles, including 25 solo… Had 8.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and a pass breakup.
 
Freshman (2011):
Played in five games as a true freshman before suffering a season-ending injury.
 
Midway High School:
Was a four-year letterwinner in football… Earned academic all-state honors… First-team all-district as a sophomore, junior and senior… Named Super-Centex second-team running back as a junior and honorable mention linebacker as a senior… Was a team captain… Member of district championship teams in 2009 and 2010… Led team to a 33-6 record over his final three years… Also lettered in baseball… Played for head coach Terry Gambill.

Is a 2011 graduate of Waco Midway High School… Son of Lisa and Roger Martinez… Has two siblings, Max and Matt… Majoring in Kinesiology… Born Oct. 19, 1992.
