When the 2025 football season kicks off, Melanie Lane will begin her 11th season as the Football Administrative Assistant for the Texan Football Team.
Lane joined the athletics staff in April 2016 after spending 14 years in different areas of Tarleton State University.
After starting in the financial aid office, Lane spent the last five years as a Financial Aid Counselor where she helped students with the submitting FAFSA applications, verifying student records, processing financial aid awards, and visiting with parents and students about the financial aid process.
A native of Comanche and graduate of Comanche High School, Lane attended Tarleton State. She is married to Steve, her husband of nearly 20 years, and the couple has two children, Tyler and Jaci.
