Appeared in 29 games with 11 starts … Third on the team in points (9.8) and second in rebounds (4.0) in 21.8 minutes per game … Second on the squad with 1.78 steals per contest … Notched 14 10-plus point performances … Scored a season-high 26 points in the WAC Tournament First Round against UTRGV … Logged five steals in a game twice.

East Mississippi CC (2019-22)
Utilized the NJCAA’s COVID-19 ruling which granted athletes an additional year of eligibility to play a third year at EMCC … Led the Lions to a 2022 Conference Championship while averaging 17.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game in his third season, ranking him sixth and 10th, respectively, in the MACCC … Earned three-time All-State and All-Region honors and was MACCC Player of the Week numerous times while leading the Lions to a peak ranking of 6th in the country … He left EMCC as the 2nd leading scorer in school history and scored a career-high 36 points in his final game … Averaged 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game during the pandemic-altered 2020-21 season … As a freshman, averaged 15.2 points and a career-high 8.4 rebounds per outing.

Played three years of varsity basketball for the Rangers, serving as team captain for one year … Was a state champion three years in a row from 2017-2019, the first time Raymond had ever produced a state championship three-peat in any sport … Became the first male athlete in school history to be named to The Clarion-Ledger newspaper’s Dandy Dozen his senior year … The same year he was the first Ranger to suit up in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star game … Following his third consecutive state title, he was crowned the 4A MHSAA Boys Basketball MVP … In addition, Smith was selected to compete in the Mississippi Association of Coaches North/South All-Star Basketball Game after his junior season … He was a two-time winner of All-District and All-State honors … Outside the court, Smith was an A/B honor roll student throughout his high school career.
