Biography

Senior (2022-23):
Appeared and started 33 games … Averaged 7.8 points and 3.1 rebounds … Led the Texans and the WAC playing an average of 35.7 minutes per night … Ranked 10th in the conference in steals (1.30) … 15th in the WAC in assists (2.94) … Registered 15 double-digit scoring totals including a season-high twice on the road … Pulled down a season-high eight boards in a pair of games.
 
Junior (2021-22):
Played in 17 games, starting the first 13 before his injury … Averaged 5.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.4 minutes per game … Scored a season-high 10 points twice, including in the season-opener at Stanford on Nov. 9 … Returned to play the last four games after an injury sidelined him for two months, between Dec. 21 and Feb. 24 … Pulled down a season-high seven rebounds , adding 10 points and four assists, against Dallas Christian on Dec. 7 … Had a season-high three steals twice, both times coming against “blue bloods” Kansas and Michigan … Was averaging 6.2 points before his injury.
 
Junior (2020-21):
Earned All-WAC honorable mention accolades … Appeared in all 20 games and led Tarleton with 19 starts … Did a little bit of everything for the Texans, averaging 7.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game … Was second on the team in minutes per game (32.4), total assists (54), steals (32) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.1) … His assist-to-turnover ranked fifth in the WAC … Posted six double-digit scoring games … Finished with 5+ rebounds in as many games … Dished out four assists six times and had at least three steals on six occasions … Was one of Tarleton’s primary ball handlers and had 13 games with one or zero turnovers … Tallied a season-high 14 points in a victory over Arlington Baptist on Dec. 9 … Grabbed a season-high eight rebounds against Abilene Christian on Dec. 5 … Came close to recording a triple-double in a home triumph over Howard Payne on Jan. 25 with a 10-point, eight-assist and six-rebound performance … His eight assists were a season-high … Stole the ball a season-high five times in consecutive games against Abilene Christian and Arlington Baptist.
 
Ranger College (2019-20):
Played his sophomore season for head coach Billy Gillispie at Ranger College ... Played in 31 games for the Rangers ... Led nationally-ranked Ranger to a 28-3 record and a trip to the NJCAA Tournament ... Named the NTJCAC Defensive Player of the Year and an all-conference selection ... Averaged 6.9 points on 54 percent shooting from the floor ... Shot 75 percent on three-pointers and 70 percent on free throws ... Also averaged five rebounds and 1.8 assists per game ... Daniel had 10 double-digit scoring games last season and scored a season-high 20 points in a road win at Victoria College ... Southern Miss (2018-19):
Played his freshman season at Southern Miss ... Made 17 appearances with an average of 7.2 minutes per contest ... Played 10+ minutes in seven of those contests ... Received immense national praise early in his high school career, drawing comparisons to fellow Canadian and current NBA star Andrew Wiggins from USA Today in 2014 ... Top-five ranked player in Canada by USA Today ... Moved to America and starred at Southwest Christian Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas, under head coach Charles Baker ...
