Barnes was one of five Texans to play in all 35 games, and started 34 times, the third most on the team ... He totaled 964 minutes, the tenth most in the Texans' D1 era ... Devon led the team with 126 made free throws, the second most in the Texans' D1 era in. a single season ... Barnes finished second in the WAC in free throw percentage (85.7%) .. He finished second on the team in three categories averaging 13.0 points per game (14th in the WAC), making 56 triples and dishing off 77 assists ... Barnes marks all ranked in the single season top 10 in Tarleton's D1 era, second in three-pointers, fourth in assists and sixth in points per game ... Devon saw action in 29 games while starting seven for the Trojans … He averaged 15.3 points, 3.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 41.3 percent from 3-point range … Scored a season-high 40 points against Barton CC on Nov. 5 … Recorded first double-double on Dec. 13 against Richard J. Daley College with 22 points and 11 assists … Posted double-figure point totals in 22 games and 20+ in eight contests.

Related to 11-year NBA veteran Will Barton who has played for the Trailblazers, Nuggets, Wizards and Raptors ... Played two summer seasons with the Atlanta Celtics ... Intends to major in Business Management at Tarleton.
