STEPHENVILLE – The Texans will return to action on Monday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. against Dallas Christian in Wisdom Gym, as the Texans try to improve to 9-2 before the end of the 2009 calendar year.
The Monday night game is Dollar Night where all fans get in for a dollar and everything in the concession stand is $1. The game is also Take A Kid to the Game Night where all children 14-and-under will get in free with paid adult admission.
The Texans are coming off a 59-52 victory over Cameron on Monday, Dec. 21.
Tarleton is led by Corin Henry with 13.6 points per game while Jeremiah Wilson (10.9) and Devon Hills (10.1) are also averaging in double figures. Wilson leads the squad with 8.8 rebounds per game and Donta Smith is second with 6.8 rebounds per game. Wilson leads the squad with 18 blocks while Henry's 45 assists and 21 steals lead the Texans.
The purple and white are averaging .425 from the floor, .382 from the three-point arc and .653 from the charity stripe while opponents are shooting .369 from the field, .355 from the arc and .649 from the line. Tarleton is outrebounding foes 38.6 to 35.1 and outscoring them 69.9 to 59.0.
Dallas Christian is 1-17 coming into the game after an 83-75 loss at Ouachita Baptist on Dec. 21. No season stats are available for the Crusaders who play in the Association of Christian College Athletics.
