Tarleton volleyball takes on Southwestern Oklahoma Saturday

WEATHERFORD, OKLA. – The TexAnns will meet their fourth straight conference opponent in the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma Saturday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m.

Tarleton (18-7) will face a struggling Southwestern Oklahoma (8-17) team, while looking to improve on their fifth-place standing in the Lone Star Conference.

This season, the TexAnns are hitting a .209 percentage, averaging 13 kills per game, 11.9 assists per game and 15 digs per game. They have recorded 135 blocks and 141 service aces as a team.

Shea McBrearty anchors the defense, recording 370 digs on the year, while Jessie Hartman has contributed 189 digs, to go along with her team-high 585 assists.

Danielle Barker has added 325 assists to the TexAnn offense, while Rachel Wolf leads Tarleton with 270 kills this season. Flynn Harrell has provided 199 kills, with Irelis Ilarraza following with 180 kills.

Southwestern Oklahoma on the other hand, is hitting just a .119 attack percentage this season.

The Bulldogs' Danielle Nelms leads the team with 210 kills, with LaKendra adding 190 kills to the attack. Callie Martin has 370 assists and 199 digs for Southwestern Oklahoma, while Sladjana Simic has collected 404 digs on the season.
