THACKERVILLE, Okla. – The No. 5 Tarleton TexAnns took the lead on Monday at the 2010 Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament with a 293 on day two of competition.

The TexAnns are led by Katy Ward with a 147 (77-70). The TexAnn sophomore is third in the tournament individually.

Tarleton has a 614 (321-293) after the first two days of competition to lead the field by one over West Texas A&M (318-297=615) and by three over Angelo State (322-295=617). Central Oklahoma (322-304=626), Northeastern State (321-309=630), Cameron (328-309=637), Midwestern State (331-315=646), East Central (347-315=662), Texas A&M-Commerce (353-327=680) and Southwestern Oklahoma (363-348=711) round out the competition.

Jacqueline Lau is tied for 10^th with a 156 (83-73) while Carla Cooper is tied for 12^th with a 157 (84-73). Melanie Tham is tied at 14 with a 158 (81-77) while Andrea Lowe is 17^th with a 159 (80-79).

The TexAnns are set to tee off beginning at 12:30 with Lowe. The rest of the Tarleton squad will tee off every nine minutes thereafter.
