HICO NIGHT
Saturday is Hico Night at Wisdom Gym where all Hico fans get in free with proof of residence. Hico will have several groups performing during both halftimes.
STRONG AT HOME
The Texans are strong at home this season, going 8-0 so far in Wisdom Gym. Tarleton has won 18 of its last 19 games in Wisdom, dating back to last season. The Texans are on a 10-game home winning streak, dating back to Feb. 13, 2010.
WINNING AT HOME
The Texans have been tough to beat at home during
Lonn Reisman's tenure. Tarleton is 148-16 (.902) in the last nine-plus seasons, dating back to the 2001-02 season. In Reisman's 21-plus seasons, the Texans have a 304-59 record in Wisdom Gym (.851).
The home record in the last eight seasons leads not only the LSC teams, but all of the NCAA South Central Region members, too.
ON THE ROAD
However, the Texans have struggled in their five road games so far, going 2-3.
Over the past week, the Texans have played four games in nine days, including three on the road. During that road trip, Tarleton traveled approximately 1,021 miles in seven days.
The longest stretch, however, is when Tarleton goes to Portales, N.M. next Friday, returns Saturday night, then goes to Canyon the following Tuesday and returns Wednesday night. The Texans will travel over 1,500 miles in that stretch.
DIVISION OPENERS
Tarleton has now won eight of their last 10 division openers with the win over Abilene Christian on Tuesday.
Tarleton is 7-1 in game two after winning the division opener.
PLAYING IN THE SOUTH
The Texans are 83-44 in the South Division since the LSC split into divisions in 1997-98. Tarleton played in the North Division in 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2004-05. In division play, the Texans are 113-49 in that span.
Since the 2001-02 season, Tarleton is 83-25 in division play, including a 53-20 mark in the South Division.
PLAYING THE SOUTH
The Texans are 91-51 against LSC South teams since the 2001-02 season, a .638 winning percentage. That includes the three years Tarleton competed in the North Division, but still played the South teams in crossover or tournament action.
Since joining the LSC, Tarleton is 150-118 against current LSC teams since the 1994-95 season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tarleton's
Wes Dipprey was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the last four games since the Christmas Break.
Dipprey led the Texans in rebounding with 6.0 rebounds per game during the 3-1 stretch for Tarleton. He led the team with eight rebounds against Texas A&M-Commerce and nine at Central Oklahoma. He also averaged 8.3 points per game for the Texans. Out of his 24 rebounds, Dipprey had 16 defensive boards for the Texans, including eight at Central Oklahoma and was a big part of the Texan comeback that fell just short. Tarleton is the No. 1 ranked defense in the country, and Dipprey helped the Texans hold the opponents to a .380 shooting percentage and a 56.5 points per game average.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE
The Tarleton defense is ranked No. 1 in the nation scoring defense, allowing opponents to score an average of 51.8 points per game heading into this week. Tarleton is No. 3 in the nation in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 36.6 points per game.
Thanks to the defense, Tarleton has the No. 2 scoring margin in the country with a plus-27.2 margin.
FORCING TURNOVERS
Tarleton is forcing lots of turnovers this season, but giving away less. The Texans are No. 3 in the nation in turnover margin with a 8.8 margin in favor of the purple and white.
Part of turnovers is taking the ball away, and the Texans are No. 15 in the country in doing so, averaging 10.7 steals per game.
REBOUND THAT BALL
Heading into this week, the Texans are No. 7 in the nation in rebound margin (11.6). The Texans have outrebounded every foe this season except Cameron and Texas A&M-Commerce.
Tarleton is outrebounding opponents by an average of 38.8 to 29.9.
LEADING THE TEXANS
The Texans are led by
Corin Henry with 13.0 points per game and 50 assists. Also averaging in double digits is
Devon Hills with 10.1 points per game.
Wes Dipprey's 6.5 rebounds per game leads the team with
Donta Smith second with 4.5 boards per outing.
Fabian Wilson leads the team with nine blocks while Henry tops the squad with 26 steals.

OUTSCORING FOES
The Texans are outscoring foes 77.8 to 51.3. The Texans' biggest win of the season came against Arlington Baptist – 108-30 (78 points). The smallest margin of victory is four at home against Texas A&M-Commerce (70-66).
SHOOTING TEXANS
The Texans are averaging .457 from the floor, .381 from the arc and .693 from the charity stripe while opponents are shooting .327 from the field, .327 from the arc and .655 from the line.

Tarleton is outscoring opponents in points off turnovers (26.2 to 9.3) and points in the paint (35.1 to 16.2).
OFF THE BENCH
Tarleton is averaging 35.0 points per game off of the bench this season as the Texans are outscoring opponents from the bench by 20.8 points per game (14.2 for opponents).

The Texans are first in the LSC in scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal percentage defense, three-point field goal percentage, turnover margin (+8.46), offensive rebounds (14.2), rebounding offense, rebounding defense and rebounding margin (7.8). Tarleton is also first in defensive rebounding percentage (.733) and in offensive rebounding percentage (.398) and third in assist/turnover ratio (1.1).
SCOUTING THE RAMS
Despite a 5-8 overall record, the Rams claimed an 82-81 overtime victory at home over No. 23 Midwestern State on Wednesday in San Angelo. The Rams have won five of their last seven, including a 62-38 win at Southwestern Oklahoma.
LaMarshall Corbett leads the team with 21.8 points per game while Ridge McKeither is second with 21.2 points per outing. Richard Thomas is third with 15.8 points per game. McKeither leads the squad with 11.6 rebounds per contest.
The Rams are averaging .439 from the field, .328 from the arc and .686 from the line while opponents are shooting .423 from the floor, .318 from the arc and .739 from the stripe. ASU is outscoring foes 75.5 to 73.4 and outrebounding them 37.2 to 36.2.
ALL-TIME SERIES
ASU leads the all-time series 34-23, dating back to 1965. Under head coach
