STRONG AT HOME
The Texans are strong at home this season, going 9-0 so far in Wisdom Gym. Tarleton has won 19 of its last 20 games in Wisdom, dating back to last season. The Texans are on an 11-game home winning streak, dating back to Feb. 13, 2010.
WINNING AT HOME
The Texans have been tough to beat at home during
Lonn Reisman's tenure. Tarleton is 149-16 (.903) in the last nine-plus seasons, dating back to the 2001-02 season. In Reisman's 21-plus seasons, the Texans have a 305-59 record in Wisdom Gym (.838).
The home record in the last eight seasons leads not only the LSC teams, but all of the NCAA South Central Region members, too.
PLAYING IN THE SOUTH
The Texans are 84-44 in the South Division since the LSC split into divisions in 1997-98. Tarleton played in the North Division in 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2004-05. In division play, the Texans are 113-49 in that span.
Since the 2001-02 season, Tarleton is 83-25 in division play, including a 54-20 mark in the South Division.
PLAYING THE SOUTH
The Texans are 92-51 against LSC South teams since the 2001-02 season, a .638 winning percentage. That includes the three years Tarleton competed in the North Division, but still played the South teams in crossover or tournament action.
Since joining the LSC, Tarleton is 150-118 against current LSC teams since the 1994-95 season.

Tarleton's
Wes Dipprey was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.
Dipprey recorded the team's first double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds at Abilene Christian on Tuesday while adding eight boards and a team-high 18 points in the win at home over Angelo State. He also led the team with three steals at ACU and tied for the team lead with three steals against ASU. Eight of his rebounds at ACU were of the defensive variety while four of his boards against ASU were on the defensive end. The Texan also had a block, averaged .588 from the floor and .889 from the charity stripe while averaging 9.0 rebounds and 14.0 points per game.
DEFENSE, DEFENSE
The Tarleton defense is ranked No. 1 in the nation scoring defense, allowing opponents to score an average of 51.4 points per game heading into this week. Tarleton is No. 2 in the nation in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to 36.4 percent from the field.
Thanks to the defense, Tarleton has the No. 3 scoring margin in the country with a plus-25.9 margin.
FORCING TURNOVERS
Tarleton is forcing lots of turnovers this season, but giving away less. The Texans are No. 2 in the nation in turnover margin with a 8.4 margin in favor of the purple and white.
Part of turnovers is taking the ball away, and the Texans are No. 12 in the country in doing so, averaging 10.4 steals per game.
REBOUND THAT BALL
Heading into this week, the Texans are No. 17 in the nation in rebound margin (7.9). The Texans have outrebounded every foe this season except Cameron, Texas A&M-Commerce and Abilene Christian.
Tarleton is outrebounding opponents by an average of 37.4 to 29.5.
ON POINT
For the second straight season, the Texans are led at the point guard position by
Corin Henry. Henry leads the team with 58 assists and 28 steals. This season, he also leads the Texans with 13.0 points per game.

OUTSCORING FOES
The Texans are outscoring foes 77.3 to 51.4. The Texans' biggest win of the season came against Arlington Baptist – 108-30 (78 points). The smallest margin of victory is four at home against Texas A&M-Commerce (70-66).
SHOOTING TEXANS
The Texans are averaging .465 from the floor, ..386 from the arc and .686 from the charity stripe while opponents are shooting .341 from the field, .341 from the arc and .656 from the line.

Tarleton is outscoring opponents in points off turnovers (25.7 to 9.6) and points in the paint (35.3 to 16.0).
OFF THE BENCH
Tarleton is averaging 33.4 points per game off of the bench this season as the Texans are outscoring opponents from the bench by 19.0 points per game (14.4 for opponents).
IN THE CONFERENCE
The Texans are first in the LSC in scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal percentage defense, three-point field goal percentage, turnover margin (+8.36), steals (10.4), offensive rebounds (13.7), rebounding defense and rebounding margin (7.9). Tarleton is also first in defensive rebounding percentage (.739) and in offensive rebounding percentage (.393), second in rebounding offense and third in assist/turnover ratio (1.0).
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
The Cardinals are No. 9 in the country for the second straight week. Incarnate Word downed West Texas A&M (78-61) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (68-65) last week to improve to 13-1 overall and 2-0 in the LSC South Division.
The Cardinals are led by Tracy Robinson with 18.6 points per game while Chris Johnson (11.4), Eric Stewart (10.9), Kelcey Solomon (10.8) and Shaun Umeh (10.6) are all averaging in double digits. Robinson's 7.9 rebounds per game tops the squad while Johnson is second with 6.7 boards per outing.
UIW is averaging .483 from the field, .280 from the arc and .709 from the free throw line while holding opponents to .440 from the floor, .267 from the arc and .678 from the stripe. The Cardinals are outscoring opponents 77.7 to 67.0, but they are being outrebounded 35.4 to 33.9.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Tarleton trails the all-time series to Incarnate Word, 8-5. The series, which began in 1984, is being renewed for the first time since Jan. 4, 2003 when the Texans won in Stephenville, 68-57. Tarleton downed the Cardinals 62-43 in San Antonio on Nov. 26, 2002 in its last trip to UIW.
