STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton was ready for its return from Christmas break as the TexAnns wasted no time in disposing of Division III foe, McMurry, 71-39 in front of 1,500 fans at Wisdom Gym Saturday.
Lisa Parker got the TexAnns started right with a 3-ball just six seconds into the contest, and Tarleton wouldn't look back.

Tarleton posted 32 more points after the Parker trey before McMurry ever hit double figures with just over five minutes left in the first half to lead 35-10.
They followed the 35-10 run by scoring 11 straight before the break to take a 46-10 lead into halftime.

Kiara Wright gave Tarleton a 40-point lead just one minute into the new half, but McMurry answered with a 21-13 run to cut the TexAnn lead to 32.
The Warhawks got to within 30 with 1:19 left but never any closer.
Kiara Wright posted her second double-double in as many games this season with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Adamson (15) and
Shanae Lowrance (11) also cracked double figures.
Lowrance and Adamson also added four rebounds each.
As a team, Tarleton held McMurry to just 29-percent shooting for the game and held the Warhawks leading scorer, Keisha Collins, to just 13 points.
This win was No. 999 for Tarleton head coach Ronnie Hearne and he has a chance to claim No. 1,000 Wednesday in Portales, N.M.
