- Game Notes

- Live Stats

TOPEKA, KS. – For the third straight season, Tarleton is one of just 64 teams in the nation still playing with a chance for the National Championship.

The NCAA regional tournament is set to begin today and the TexAnns are facing a familiar foe – Emporia State at 8 p.m. tonight from Lee Arena on the campus of Washburn University.

Of Tarleton's four regional tournament appearances, tonight marks the third time the Hornets of ESU are the first round opponent of the TexAnns. Emporia won the first two meetings and are 3-0 against Tarleton.

The TexAnns enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed and Lone Star Conference Champions while Emporia comes in having finished third in the MIAA and the No. 5 seed.

The Hornets are led in scoring by a trio of double figure scorers - Heather Robben (14.0), Merissa Quick (11.2) and Kelsey Balcom (10.9) – while Tarleton will counter with a high-scoring threesome of their own – Peyton Adamson (13.6), Shelby Adamson (13.0) and Kiara Wright (12.9).

Wright enters postseason play having been just one of two players in the LSC to average a double-double with 10 rebounds per game. The LSC Player of the Year, Sabelle Diata, was the other.

Tarleton is coming off its first-ever conference championship and will be going for its second-ever NCAA regional victory. The TexAnns defeated Southeastern Oklahoma in the first round of last year's tournament.

Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. from Lee Arena. For a live radio broadcast, tune into KSTV 93.1 in Stephenville or listen live at TarletonSports.com.
