STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Six home games in the debut season of the state-of-the-art EECU Center highlight Tarleton State Women's Basketball's 2025 12-game non-conference schedule.

The Texans will face three opponents that competed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament in Kansas State (Exhibition), Arkansas State and TCU. All but one of Tarleton State's non-conference contests will be played in the state of Texas.

"The non-conference schedule will be extremely challenging and prepare our team for WAC play that begins on Dec 29," head coach Bill Brock said. "Last year's successful season and NCAA postseason experience has created a buzz and excitement for Tarleton State Women's Basketball. We are looking forward to the beginning of official practice and playing our first game in the EECU Center!"

Tarleton State will play its first home game in the EECU Center against Kansas State on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. K-State, a 2025 Sweet 16 team that finished ranked No. 13 in the final Associated Press Top 25 poll last season, is the highest nationally-ranked team to play in Stephenville. The Wildcats are the first women's basketball team from a Power 4 conference to visit Tarleton State. The exhibition game sponsored by Barefoot Campus Outfitter is the first meeting between the two schools in program history.

The Texans will start the 2025-26 regular season with three consecutive home games at the EECU Center, beginning Monday Nov. 3 against Schreiner at 7 p.m. Arkansas State, the Sun Belt Conference champions, will be the opponent for the Texans' annual Education Day game that is played Friday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. The three-game homestand wraps up on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. when the Texans take on Houston Christian.

A Power 4 Conference opponent will be the Texans' first road test, with Tarleton State traveling to Texas A&M on Thursday, Nov. 13 for an 11 a.m. matinee. Tarleton State will face the 18-time NCAA Tournament qualifier for the first time in program history.

Following a home game against McNeese (Nov. 16), the Texans will face 2025 Elite Eight member TCU in Fort Worth on Thursday, Nov. 20. TCU, who won 34 games last season, won the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles before winning three straight NCAA Tournament contests. Separated by 70 miles, Tarleton State and TCU will face each other in women's basketball for the first time since 1978.

Two more road contests wrap up November and begin December, with the Texans making their first-ever trip to San Marcos to take on Texas State (Nov. 25). Tarleton State will make its lone trip out of the state of Texas in non-conference play Dec. 2, traveling to Itta Bena, Mississippi, to take on Mississippi Valley State.

The final non-conference home game at the EECU Center takes place on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. against Texas A&M-San Antonio. The showdown marks the first meeting between the two schools in women's basketball.

Tarleton State will play in a multi-team event (MTE) for the second consecutive season, participating in the ACU Christmas Classic Dec. 19-20 in Abilene. After facing Montana (Dec. 19), the Texans wrap up non-conference play against the 2025 WNIT champions, Buffalo (Dec. 20).

The Texans, who finished with a Division I program record 20 wins en route to its first-ever Division I postseason bid last year, will play its first season in the EECU Center. Finishing second in the WAC, Tarleton State received an automatic bid to the WNIT and played its first-ever Division I postseason game at Wisdom Gym on March 23, 2025. Led by 2025 All-WAC guard Jakoriah Long, the Texans return three letterwinners from last year's squad and welcome 11 newcomers.
