LAWTON, Okla. – The Tarleton baseball team went into Lawton, Okla. Friday and crushed the host Aggies 23-8 in seven innings.
The Texans scored 23 runs, the most since March 12, 2010 when Tarleton defeated East Central 23-17 in Ada, Okla. All nine Texan starters drove in at least one RBI and scored at least one run in Friday's contest.
In this game, Tarleton scored at least one run in each inning, including four runs in the first and eight runs in the fifth. The Texans 10-run ruled the Aggies and are now one win away from clinching a spot in the 2012 Lone Star Conference Tournament in San Angelo.

From there it was all Tarleton as they totaled 22 hits, 23 RBI's, and seven home runs. The seven home runs ties a school record set in 1993.
The 23-8 final marked the biggest margin of the year for the Texans.
Garrett Hardey led the way with a 5-for-6 outing, two home runs, six RBI's and three runs scored. Ryan Small almost hit for the cycle in the game with a 3-for-5 day, five RBI's and three runs scored.
