SERIES HISTORIES
Tarleton and Fort Lewis will be meeting for the first time while the TexAnns and Lady Chaps will resume a history that dates back to 1980. Tarleton and LSC last met in 2011 when the Lady Chaps escaped Stephenville with a slim 87-84 victory. The TexAnns, however, own the all-time series 18-2 and are 10-1 against LSC in Wisdom Gym.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton overcame 23 turnovers in the 2013-14 season debut to hand St. Mary's its first loss of the season - 74-73 in overtime Wednesday night at Wisdom Gym. Shanae Lowrance scored the game-winning layup with one second on the clock in her first game since going down with a knee injury last January.

THE KIARA & KATHY SHOW
Kiara Wright and Kathy Thomas shined in their first action as teammates Wednesday night, combining for 50 of Tarleton 74 points. The All-American senior and the transfer from Iowa scored 32 and 18 points, respectively, while Wright added 19 rebounds and Thomas had a huge block against STMU's Jackie Woods to send the game into overtime.

SCORING 30
After her 32-point effort against St. Mary's Wednesday night, Kiara Wright has now scored 30 points in four straight games dating back to last season. Prior to Wright's first career 30-point performance on Jan. 23, 2013, Tarleton hadn't had a 30-point scorer since Shea Kester on Dec. 13, 2001. The TexAnns now have six 30-point efforts since January - five of them coming from Wright.

MILESTONE WATCH
Wednesday night, Kiara Wright passed Kristen Curtis for 18th place on the all-time Tarleton scoring list with 1,102 in her career. Next in her sights is a tight-knit group of TexAnns through. With her next 31 points, she would jump into 14th place all-time by passing Eleanor Golding, Karla Dick, Amanda Franklin and Patti Dunlap.

AFTER THE TOURNAMENT
Following this weekend's action, Tarleton will hit the road for the first time this season as they travel to Tahlequah, Oklahoma for a Tuesday night battle against Northeastern State at 6 p.m.
