STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton will travel to Canyon Saturday for the regular season finale and the No. 3 seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament on the line. The TexAnns and Lady Buffs are both fighting for that coveted No. 3 seed.
After dropping the first meeting this season, the TexAnns will look to seek revenge on West Texas A&M on the road Saturday. The Lady Buffs own the all-time series against Tarleton 28-7 dating back to 1995. The TexAnns, however, have won three of the last four meetings.
Under head coach Ronnie Hearne, Tarleton is 5-12 all-time against West Texas A&M. Tarleton is just 2-14 all-time in Canyon since the beginning of the series.

Last Time Out
Tarleton snapped its modest two-game losing skid in blowout fashion, running over Eastern New Mexico 96-58 in the final game at Wisdom Gym for the 2012-13 season. Kiara Wright recorded her nation-leading 20th double-double of the season with 18 points and 22 rebounds while Peyton Adamson (16), Keyra Johnson (14) and Cheyenne Berry (12) also cracked double figures. Every TexAnn scored in the win for the second time this season.
Early season meeting
Tarleton was still in transition-mode when these teams met in Wisdom Gym earlier this year. The TexAnns and Lady Buffs met in the second game since Tarleton lost its two veteran post players - Shanae Lowrance and Karli Moore - to season-ending injuries. Tarleton fell 70-60 in Wisdom Gym despite 16 from Wright and 14 from Bledsoe.
What's at stake
The No. 3 seed of the LSC Championship Tournament is on the line. With a Tarleton win: The TexAnns would lock up the third seed and play Angelo State at noon on Thursday March 7, 2013 - the same day as the Tarleton men, who would play at 2:30 Thursday. If Incarnate Word wins as well, the Cardinals would be the No. 4 seed and play WT, the No. 5 seed. If UIW loses, they will still play WT just with the opposite seeds. With a West Texas win: The Lady Buffs would jump into the No. 3 seed, moving Tarleton into the 4th spot and UIW into the 5th - regardless of what UIW does. In this scenerio, Tarleton would play Thursday March 7, 2013 at 6 p.m.
No Seniors in Sight
The TexAnns do not have a single senior on the current roster. This is the first time Tarleton has been senior-less since the 1995-96 season.
Leading the Nation
Following her 15-rebound performance against Incarnate Word Feb. 16, Kiara Wright has moved into and stayed at the top spot in the nation in rebounds with 14.0 per game. After Wednesday, she is now all alone in the national lead for double-doubles with 20. Seton Hill's Katie Gattuso only had 20 points and seven rebounds Wednesday night.

The Lady Buffs scored first and never looked back en route to a 73-64 win over the Lions. Griffin and White's combined 52 points led the Lady Buffs while Casey Land added 11 points.
