JUNIOR TEXANS LEAD THE WAY
Prior to tonight's game, Tarleton will be led onto the court by the members of the Jr Texan Club.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton State got the weekend started with a Friday night sweep of Lone Star Conference rival, Angelo State, and rebounded back Saturday afternoon with a five-set win over Newman. The TexAnns' sweep of the Rambelles Friday night was the first sweep over Angelo State since the 2006 season. In Saturday's match, Tarleton went up 2-0 in the match and, after a hard-fought comeback attempt by the Jets, held on for a fifth-set win to improve to 12-4 on the season.

TARLETON vs DALLAS BAPTIST
This is the 42nd all-time meeting between the TexAnns and Patriots since the inaugural meeting in 1982 and Tarleton holds the advantage 35-6. Tarleton won the first 19 meetings between from 1982 through 1993. The Patriots have never won consecutive games in the series and Tarleton won both meetings last season.

ALEXANDER'S BLOCK PARTY
Tarleton junior middle blocker, Kenya Alexander, is now officially the national leader in blocks per set at 1.42 every set. Alexander has blocked 92 kill attempts in just 65 sets this season and her 92 total blocks is 17 blocks more than the highest individual block total of any TexAnn in all of last season.

SET NOTES
Tarleton State still has not played a four-set match since the season opener. The TexAnns defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith in four to begin the season and have since played eight five-set matches and been involved in seven sweeps.

UP NEXT FOR THE TEXANNS
Tarleton will hit the road this weekend to begin the second round of Lone Star Conference play, beginning at 7 p.m. Friday night against Texas A&M-Commerce. They will be in Denton Saturday against Texas Woman's.
