THE GAME
Tarleton State is set to begin the 2015 spring semester of tennis Saturday morning when the TexAnns host Texas-Permian Basin in a season-opening battle of in-region foes.
THE RANKINGS
Tarleton State enters Saturday's season-opener ranked No. 45 in the nation and No. 6 in the South Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while the Falcons are ranked No. 10 in the region. The TexAnn doubles tandem of
Erika Richarme and Luiza Adas are currently the 10
th-ranked team in the region by the ITA.
MEET THE TEXANNS
Tarleton State returns two letterwinners –
Luiza Ferraro-Adas and
Ellie Stevens - from last spring. Tarleton State enters the 2015 spring with a young team of three sophomores and three freshmen, all of which played together for Tarleton State last fall.
LAST TIME OUT
This will be the first action for Tarleton State since competing at the ITA South Central Regional Championships last September to conclude the fall schedule.
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will hit the road for Arkadelphia, Arkansas to take part in the Ouachita Baptist Quad on February 12, beginning with a match against Henderson State.
