ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton has won its last three games to move above .500 on the season at 4-3 and also has a 4-1 record in the Lone Star Conference to put the Texans in a tie for second place in the conference standings. Tarleton is looking for its first 4-game winning streak since 2013 when the Texans won five straight to open the season. The Texans are 3-1 at home this season. Tarleton is averaging 29.9 points per game while holding opponents to 26 points. The Texans are putting up 360 yards of offense per game (263 pass, 97 rush). Quarterback
Zed Woerner leads the LSC in touchdown passes with 19 while throwing for 1,705 yards with a 64.4 completion percentage. Woerner has plenty of options to throw to as well, including
Del'Michael High, who has an LSC-leading eight touchdowns along with 550 yards on 36 catches.
Jeff Thomas has 505 yards and three scores on 33 receptions and
Bubba Tandy's five touchdowns is second on the team. Tandy has hauled in 32 passes for 484 yards.
Joseph Sadler is Tarleton's leading rusher with 496 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively,
Cody Burtscher leads the LSC and is also seventh in the nation in tackles with 82. Burtscher is also tied for the LSC lead in interceptions with three.
EJ Speed and
Chase Varnado are two of the top Defensive Ends in the LSC with Speed and Varnado each recording 10 tackles for a loss, which is tied for second in the LSC. Varnado has six sacks and Speed has 4.5 to rank second and fifth in the LSC, respectively. Speed also leads the LSC in forced fumbles with four. As a team, Tarleton leads the LSC in sacks with 27 and is second in interceptions with 10.

ABOUT THE JAVELINAS
A&M-Kingsville is 4-3 on the year and 2-3 in the LSC, ranking fifth in the conference. However, the Javelinas have lost the three games by a combined five points. Kingsville comes in having won two straight games and is 2-1 on the road. The Javelinas are averaging 41.8 points per game and holding teams to 23.1 points. Kingsville averages 434 yards per game (244 pass, 190 rush) and gives up 302 yards to opponents. Quarterback Myles Carr has thrown for 1,664 yards with 18 touchdowns and three interceptions on the year. TAMUK's leading rusher is Nike Pelrean, who has 494 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns. Kingsville has a pair of wide receivers with over 20 receptions in Anthony Autry (27 rec., 458 yards, 6 TD) and Jordan Thomas (22 rec., 368 yards, 4 TD). Defensively, Brandon Jones leads the LSC in sacks with 9.5 and has 12.5 tackles for loss. ZeMarcus Green leads the Javelina defense with 36 tackles.
