STEPHENVILLE – No. 15 Tarleton topped the century mark for the first time this season with a 106-54 rout over Southwestern Adventist on Wednesday in Wisdom Gym.

Tarleton (9-1) shot 48 percent in the game and held SWAU to 38 percent. The Texans, who have won six straight games, are holding opponents to 35 percent shooting on the season, which ranks second in the nation.

Romond Jenkins had a career night for the Texans, scoring 24 points, grabbing 17 rebounds and coming up with six steals – all three stats set new career highs. It's Jenkins' fifth double-double of the season, with the Texans going 5-0 in those games.

The Texans opened the game on a 7-0 run with
Ridell Camidge scoring five points during the stretch. Moments after the Knights scored their first points, the Texans went on an 8-0 run to build a 15-2 lead in the first 4:30 of the game.

Jenkins and Camidge swapped baskets on the offensive end for 11 straight points that gave Tarleton a 37-21 advantage. Camidge finished the night with 17 points, a career-high six assists and five rebounds.

Tarleton led 45-24 at the break and forced SWAU into 10 turnovers while the Texans only turned the ball over once in the first half.

The Texans started the second half like they did the first with a 7-0 run, including a 3-pointer from
Anthony Davis and
Chantz Chambers finishing his steal at the top of the key with a fast-break layup. Davis set career highs with 18 points and nine rebounds. Chambers had nine points and four rebounds.

Tarleton's lead blossomed to 30 at 56-26 on
Jacob Morales' tip-in off a missed free throw.
Deshawn Riddick followed with a 3-pointer but the junior point guard shined by distributing the ball, matching a career high with nine assists and had zero turnovers. The Texans had a season-best 27 assists and only six turnovers in the game.

In the final minutes,
Josh Hawley drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to give Tarleton a 50-point lead at 101-51. Hawley led the Texans in scoring off the bench with 12 points and four steals.

Tarleton outscored the Knights in bench points, 33-3.
Nosa Ebomwonyi had a season-high nine points and three steals in eight minutes. Morales set a career high with five points.
Kealon Clayborne,
Curtiss Anderson and
Denzel Smith each had two points.

Tarleton will travel to Las Vegas to take on Simon Fraser (Canada) on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. CST and No. 13 Western Washington on Dec. 19 at 10 p.m. CST.
