Tarleton has its biggest test yet against No. 8 Angelo State with both teams coming in with only one loss on the year and undefeated in the Lone Star Conference.
 
THE GAME
The TexAnns (9-1, 2-0) take on the Rambelles (11-1, 2-0) on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Wisdom Volleyball Gym.
 
ABOUT THE TEXANNS:
Tarleton comes in having won three straight matches and the last two resulting in sweeps. In Tarleton's nine wins, six have been sweeps. Tarleton has won a school-record 17 straight Lone Star Conference matches dating back to last season. The TexAnns have tied the school record for best 10-game record at 9-1, equaling the 2010 squad. Hailey Roberts comes in No. 1 in the nation in kills per set with 5.41 and Jordyn Keamo is No. 1 in the nation in aces with 28.
 
THE OPPONENT:
Angelo State is ranked No. 8 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll with an 11-1 record. The Rambelles have won three straight matches coming into Tuesday's game. Angelo State has two players with over 100 kills with Mallory Blauser's 186 and Brianna Sotello's 126. Setter Meghan Parker leads the LSC in assists with 475.
 
THE SERIES
Tuesday's match marks the 47th career meeting between Tarleton and Angelo State. Tarleton is 15-31 all-time against Angelo State. The two teams have been the elite programs in the Lone Star Conference over the last two seasons with Tarleton winning the 2014 LSC tournament and 2015 LSC Championship, followed by Angelo State winning the 2015 LSC tournament. Tarleton and Angelo State have split the last six meetings since 2014.

The TexAnns will play their first conference road games when they head to Canyon to take on West Texas A&M on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. and Texas-Permian Basin on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 12 p.m.
