ABOUT THE TEXANS
Tarleton fell on the road against West Texas A&M, 37-25, last weekend to move to 1-3 on the year. The Texans nearly erased a 19-point deficit when they got to within 31-25 late in the fourth quarter but WT's late touchdown ended the comeback attempt. The Texan offense has made strides in the last two games and are averaging 336 yards per game (227 pass, 109 rush). Quarterback
Zed Woerner has 789 passing yards and 8 touchdowns to only one interception on the season.
Bubba Tandy has been Woerner's top target, hauling in 21 passes for 381 yards and scoring five touchdowns. Running back
Joseph Sadler has gained 312 yards on the ground while
Curtis McGregor has scored three touchdowns in just three games. Defensively,
Chase Varnado leads the LSC in sacks with five, while
Cody Burtscher is second with 4.5. The Texans already have more sacks this season with 20 than they had last season when they had 18 in 10 games.

ABOUT THE FALCONS
UTPB in its first season of football is 2-2 on the year and 0-2 in the Lone Star Conference. The Falcons won their first two games, but have lost its first two LSC games by an average score of 42 points. UTPB is averaging 26 points per game while giving up 39 points to opponents. The Falcons average 347 yards per game on offense and surrender 468 yards to opponents. Quarterback Kameron Mathis has thrown for 695 yards and six touchdowns to four interceptions. Running back Brandon Infiesto's 377 rushing yards are tops on the team while their top receiver is Terrell Davidson with 245 yards on 14 catches.
