HOUSTON – Tarleton's bats exploded with 13 runs and a season-high 16 hits in a 13-5 win over Arkansas Fort-Smith on Sunday at Minute Maid Park.

Dylan Lemons flipped the script on the outcome of the game with a three-run home run that landed near the trademark train tracks over the stands in left field at the home of the Houston Astros.
After Garrett Kizer singled to left,
Ben Mauseth hit his first home run as a Texan, a line drive two-run shot to right field for a 6-2 lead.
Blake Adams made it a three-peat when two batters later the junior capped off the inning with another moon shot home run, a two-run blast to left field.
It wasn't the only big inning of the game for the Texans, as the offense kept rolling with a five-run eighth inning.
Francisco Rodriguez laced a two-run triple to right center field to put the Texans in double digits and a 10-5 lead. It was Rodriguez's second triple of the season that was part of a 2-for-5 outing at the plate.
Jake Hasbrouck already hit a home run in the first inning – a solo shot to left – and the junior right-hander finished off a 3-for-5 afternoon with an RBI double down the left field line that put Tarleton up 11-4. Hasbrouck scored three runs and drove in two on the day.
Dalton Richardson came in to pinch hit in the eighth with the bases loaded and delivered with a two-run single for Tarleton's final runs of the game.
The Texans had five players with a multi-hit game today, led by Hasbrouck and Lemons each going 3-for-5.
Austin Call went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Garrett Kizer went 2-for-5 with a run.
Jose Reyes (two runs) was one of four Texans with multiple runs scored.
Evan Pontley started on the mound for Tarleton, tossing four innings while giving up only one run on three hits and striking out five.
Conner Fletcher (2-0) got the win in relief after the Texans' scoring outburst started, with Fletcher throwing three innings and giving up three runs.

Seth Gill and
Nathan Jackson combined to throw the final two innings.
Tarleton will return home for a three-game series against Arkansas Fort-Smith starting Friday, February 24 at 3 p.m.
