ABILENE—Tarleton Track & Field competed at the Wes Kittley Invitational hosted by Abilene Christian University and came away with a new meet record and two NCAA marks.

Sophomore
Rascellis Williams was crowned champion in the high jump finishing with a jump of 6'11" tying a career best. Williams also set the new meet record at the Wes Kittley Invitational with his finish.
Zachary Pratt threw the shot put 52' 4.75", which gave the senior a second place medal at the meet. Pratt also finished sixth in the hammer throw (148' 8").

Katelin Huckabee and
Esmeralda Fuentes both finished top eight in the 1500m run, Huckabee placed third with a time of 4:51.35. Fuentes took home a sixth-place finish clocking in at 4:53.29.

The TexAnns had five more athletes with a top eight performance,
Mikayla Morris and
Roxana Hernandez both finished fifth in their events. Morris competed in the discus throw where she tossed a 126' 8", while Hernandez jumped a 5' 2.50" in the high jump.
Ashley Johnson and
Kara Bickham had a pair of seventh-place finishes, Johnson ran a 57.47 in the 400m dash. Bickham raced in the 400m hurdles, she crossed the finish line at 1:04.00 seconds.
Arianna Stegall came in eighth-place with a time of 1:04.03.

For the men,
Johen Deleon ran the 1500m run in a time of 4:02.62 giving him a third-place finish at the meet. Chants Chambers finished fifth in long jump, with a jump of 22' 0.75.
Tim Mosley and
Hawke Huntley had eighth-place finishes in their events, Mosley high jumped 6' 0 .75 while Huntley ran a 22.76 in the 200m dash.

In the final standings, the Texans finished seventh with 33 total points while the TexAnns finished eighth with 18 total points.

Tarleton will travel to Austin, Texas March 30, where they will compete in the Texas Relays hosted by The University of Texas.
