KINGSVILLE – Good Friday was indeed good for the Tarleton TexAnns, who won their 10th match of the season by knocking off Texas A&M-Kingsville on the road 6-3.
"We were able to pull out a tough win on the road today," said graduate assistant coach Suzi Alcaraz. "We started off a little bit slow in doubles, but when we got the chance to break and hold at the end of the set then we executed what we wanted. We weren't 100-percent healthy, but we fought through and were successful."
After Texas A&M-Kingsville took the first doubles match of the day, the TexAnns battled back with an 8-6 win from their No. 3 tandem of
Tori Simmons and

Elena Preadca and
Luiza Ferraro-Adas capped off an 8-5 victory to give Tarleton the edge heading into singles.
Tarleton clinched the win as
Tori Simmons (6-3, 6-3),
