Final Results

WACO— Tarleton Track & Field competed at the Michael Johnson Invitational hosted by Baylor University on Saturday and finished the meet with an NCAA provisional mark.

"Considering the weather, I really feel that we held our own," said head coach Pat Ponder. "We had some decent performances and it is always nice to compete at Baylor."

For the Texans, Johen Deleon took home a bronze medal in the 1500m run clocking in at 3:55.85. Chantz Chambers finished fourth with a jump of 21-10.75 (6.67m) in the long jump.

Rascellis Williams hit an NCAA mark in the high jump finishing eight in his event clearing 6-08.00 (2.03m).

On the TexAnns side of the day, Roxana Hernandez saw an eighth-place finish in the high jump as the junior from Dallas leaped over 5-05.75 (1.67m). Katelin Huckabee competed in the 5000m run where she finished the day ninth in 17:45.43.

Arianna Stegall finished 12th in the 400m hurdles running a 1:04.14.

Tarleton will return to action on Thursday, April 27 at the ACU Wildcat Open meet in Abilene.
