Robbie Clarke and
Meaghan Brown competed at the ASU David Noble Relays Multi meet for the Tarleton Track & Field team at LeGrand Sports Complex – Angelo State University.
Clarke placed sixth with a career best 4,339 points and Brown finished tenth with 3,272 points in the two-day event.
On the first day, Clarke ran 15.42 seconds in the 100m hurdles, 26.37 in the 200m dash, jumped a 4-10.25 (1.48m) in the high jump, and finished with a throw of 31-04.5 (9.56m) in the shot put. On the second day of events, Clarke ran a 2:38.37 800-meter, threw the javelin 93-09 (28.59m), and leaped 17' 8" (5.31m) in the long jump.
Brown finished the 100m hurdles in a time of 16.51 seconds, 28.04 in the 200m dash, 4-03.25 (1.30m) in the high jump, and had a throw of 25-06 (7.77m) in the shot put on the opening day at the meet. On the final day, Brown ran the 800-meter run in a time of 2:41.21, tossed the javelin 52-05 (15.98m), and recorded a 14'8.25" (4.48m) long jump.
Tarleton will travel to Commerce next weekend to compete in the East Texas Relays hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday April, 14.
