Final Results
SAN ANGELO— Tarleton Track & Field competed at the ASU David Noble Relays hosted by Angelo State on Saturday and came away with four NCAA provisional marks, and three first-place finishes.
Esmeralda Fuentes ran a career best 4:54.25 in the 1500m run, and took home a first-place finish in her race.
Katelin Huckabee also picked up a gold medal as the senior from Belton ran a 18:02.16 in the 5000m run.
Quenten Lassester had the top finish of the day in the 5000m as the freshman had a career best time of 15.31.33.
Tarleton had four second-place finishes at the meet.
Zachary Pratt posted a NCAA provisional mark in the shot put with a toss of 53-01.75 (16.20m),
Rascellis Williams jumped 6' 8.75 (2.05m) in the high jump,
Gretzel Jimenez finished the 1500m run in 4:59.69 seconds, and
Johen Deleon ran 4:02.23 in the 1500m.
Andelynn Carlton,
Ashley Johnson, and
Arianna Stegall finished the meet with bronze medals. Carlton finished with a time of 5:00.11 in the 1500m run, which is her career best. Johnson ran a time of 57.57 in the 400m dash. Stegall finished the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.73.
In the final standings, the Texans finished fifth with 75.83 points and the TexAnns also finished fifth with 81 points.
Tarleton will travel to Commerce next weekend to compete in the East Texas Relays hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce on Saturday April, 14.
