STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton has agreed to a multi-year deal with BSN SPORTS/Nike for the Texans and TexAnns to enter an exclusive partnership, beginning this fall.
 
The partnership with BSN Sports and Nike, the world's leading athletics apparel company, is for three years, from 2017-2020. It's the first apparel deal for Tarleton Athletics in over 15 years.
 
"The entire athletics program at Tarleton is recognized on a national level and we are excited for this opportunity to partner with BSN SPORTS and Nike," said Athletic Director Lonn Reisman. "The exposure Tarleton has had over the last few years, being on national television and multiple sports advancing deep into the NCAA tournament, has put the athletic department in a position to reach this apparel deal. By working with BSN SPORTS and Nike, we are continuing to elevate our status as an elite athletic department and providing the best experiences for our student-athletes."
 
Tarleton becomes the only school in the Lone Star Conference with an exclusive Nike apparel deal. Tarleton is also now one of eight schools in the state of Texas with exclusive Nike deals, joining Texas, TCU, Baylor, SMU, North Texas, Abilene Christian and Lamar. With the Nike apparel deal, Tarleton will have unique branding and marketing opportunities for the athletic department going forward.

There will be an open press conference Thursday, July 20 at 11 a.m. in Wisdom Gym to discuss the agreement. Reisman will be on hand to talk about the agreement and answer questions from the local media.
