LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – Tarleton began its final fall tennis tournament Friday and had three individuals advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday at the Grizzly Invitational.
 
"Today was a good day for us," said head coach Lance Drake. "We started with doubles and did some things well, it just wasn't good enough. We bounced back and had three players advance in singles. They played with great effort today. There were a lot of good, competitive matches throughout the tournament."
 
Tarleton opened the day with its two doubles tandems falling in their first matches of the afternoon, including Alicia Barbaroux and Sherine Salem dropping a tight 8-6 battle to Tusculum.
 
The TexAnns rebounded in singles action as Neetika Sud, Barbaroux, and Salem each came away with wins to advance to Saturday's quarterfinal round. Sud rallied for a 7-6 [4], 6-2 thriller over Tusculum's Caitlin McCullough while Barbaroux (6-1, 6-0) and Salem (6-3, 6-4) cruised to Saturday.
