A LOOK AT LAST TIME OUT
The Texans took their season – and for the 15 seniors, their baseball careers – into their own hands and defeated No. 5 West Texas A&M at Wilder Park in Canyon to earn the school's second Lone Star Conference Tournament Championship and receive an automatic invitation into the NCAA South Central Regional tournament. Tarleton had six players named to the all-tournament team, including the tournament MVP Blake AdamsJake Hasbrouck (1B), Ruben Rodriguez (2B), Tyler Fowler (3B), Jared McCarver (OF), and Nathan Hickey (P) also earned all-tournament acclaim.

MILESTONE WATCH: NATHAN HICKEY
After earning the win in relief against West Texas A&M last Sunday, Nathan Hickey tied the school record of 10 pitching victories in a single season, matching him with Clay Snider (1988) and Andy Beckerman (1989). Hickey is also passed Julio Jimenez to move into second place all-time in program history with 18 career wins.

MILESTONE WATCH: BLAKE ADAMS
Senior Blake Adams' team-first reputation has brought him the single-season and close to the career records for being hit by a pitch. Adams has been hit by 25 pitches this season, which gives him the school record for the most in a year. In his career, Adams has worn 41 pitches which has him six shy of passing Evan Robinson (46) for the all-time lead in that category. He has also moved to No. 8 all-time in Texan history with 27 home runs, which he has done in two seasons, and No. 2 all-time with 17 home runs in a season. He passed Chris Casazza's 2010 and 2011 marks of 16 long balls and trails only Mike Cantu's 1991 campaign of 19 home runs for the most in a season.

MILESTONE WATCH: JAKE HASBROUCK
Senior Jake Hasbrouck moved into a tie for No. 7 all-time in home runs with John Broussard (28). He is three shy of the No. 5 all-time mark of 31 with Rusty Dunavant and Chuck Desmarias. Hasbrouck's 13 home runs this season are a career high.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton needs to win the NCAA Regional Tournament to advance to the NCAA Division II College World Series for the first time in program history.
