LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton fell in four sets (25-14, 15-25, 22-25, 17-25) to West Texas A&M on Tuesday in the Wisdom Volleyball Gym. 
 
Tatyana Tuialii-Umi led the Texans with 10 kills while Sofia Tonga had nine kills and Lauren Kersey posted seven kills on a team-leading .286 hitting percentage. Tarleton hit .121 for the match while WT hit .210
 
NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT
Tarleton Volleyball received votes in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. 
 
The Texans are one of three LSC teams ranked, joining Angelo State (15) and Texas A&M-Commerce (23).
 
THE OPPONENT: TEXAS A&M-COMMERCE
The Texans and Lions last met in 2018, where Tarleton defeated Texas A&M-Commerce in Wisdom, 3-1. The Texans lead the all-time series 23-20 and holds the advantage at home, 14-5. Texas A&M-Commerce enters the match 16-4 on the season with a 9-1 mark in conference play. 
 
THE OPPONENT: UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS-TYLER
Tarleton and UT-Tyler will face off for the first time in program history on Saturday. The Patriots enter the match 8-10 on the season with a 3-7 mark in conference play.
 
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will be back on the road next week to battle two LSC rivals. On Thursday, the Texans will play University of Texas-Permian Basin in Odessa at 7:00 p.m. Tarleton will then travel to Silver City, New Mexico to play Western New Mexico on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
