No. 32 Tarleton sweeps Mesa, CSU-Pueblo to reach 10 wins

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PUEBLO, Colo. – The No. 32-ranked Tarleton Tennis team made the trek to Pueblo Colorado for three matches in two days and got started on the right foot with a sweep of Colorado Mesa (6-1) and CSU-Pueblo (7-0).
 
Match 1: No. 32 Tarleton 6, Colorado Mesa 1
 
Nathalie Ulander and Shelby Fillingame were the deciding factor in the doubles match and the momentum lifted Tarleton to a 6-1 rout of the Mavericks early Saturday morning.
 
After the top two pairing split the first two matches of the afternoon, Fillingame and Ulander won the No. 3 battle 6-3 and sent Tarleton into singles with the edge.
 
Tarleton won the first four points of singles play to secure the match with a 5-0 advantage. After Mesa won its only point of the day in the No. 1 match, Neetika Sud closed things out with a super-tiebreak victory by edging out Emily Beckley 10-4 in the final set.

Tarleton finished off their first day in Colorado with a clean sweep of the Thunderwolves.
 
Tarleton won the top two pairings in doubles to take the point and then headed into singles with a 1-0 advantage and five matches to play after the Thunderwolves failed to produce a No. 6 player.
 
The TexAnns cruised in the top five matches, however, as Sherine Salem (6-0, 6-1) and Faustine Palatte (6-0, 6-0) combined to handle the No. 2 and 3 matches, respectively, by a total of 24-1.
