KINGSVILLE – Jasmine McQuirter placed 16^th in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Kingsville on Thursday.
 
"I am very proud of Jasmine," said head coach Pat Ponder. "She is such a competitor and represented our track & field program with class."
 
McQuirter finished 16^th in the long jump with a jump of 18' 11.75". The junior from Teague qualified for the meet by hitting a collegiate best mark of 19' 5.5" at the East Texas Invitational.
