RIVERSIDE – Tarleton battled in two tough games in Riverside but fell just short in both games. The Texans competed well in both games but couldn't push the runs across.

Game 1

The Texans and Lancers had a pitcher's duel going between Bryce Hackett and Bryan Pope in the first three innings of the game with neither of them scoring a run.

Tarleton recorded four hits today with Kemuel Thomas-Rivera recording two-hits. Three runs were plated for the Texans today on a solo home run from Blake Burns in the 4th and a two-run homerun from Thomas-Rivera in the 5th.

Bryce Hackett got the start tonight for the Texans going 4.1 innings with four strikeouts, allowing four hits. Luke Baley came in to relieve Hackett and went 1.2 innings striking out two and allowing no runs and no hits.

Game 2

Tarleton strung together runs in the 4th and 5th innings but wasn't able to overcome the Lancers in game 2 of todays doubleheader.

The Texans and Lancers each recorded five hits, but CBU plated seven runs and took game two of the doubleheader.

Four Texans recorded hits in game two with Dean Frew recording two hits. The Texans runs came across in the 4th on a groundout from London Green that scored Blake Burns and a fielding error by the Lancers that allowed Cody Vannoy to take first and Kade Turnage to score. The other run was plated in the 5th on a sacrifice fly from Kemuel Thomas-Rivera that scored Colby Feris from third.

Bryan Agular and Green each recorded a double in game two of the doubleheader.
