Tarleton Baseball, Softball select home games to be broadcast on ESPN+ in 2023

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Part of the latest renovations to the Tarleton Baseball Complex and Tarleton Softball Complex included the capability to match ESPN standards of multiple camera angles on the broadcast. With that, Tarleton will stream select 2023 baseball and softball home games on ESPN+.

Over the last two years and this past week, Tarleton has broadcast all of their baseball and softball home games on WAC International, formerly called WAC Digital Network. Due to specific renovations in regards to the ability to have added camera angles, Texan games can now reach a larger audience on the ESPN platform.

There will be 26 Tarleton Baseball home games streamed on ESPN+ this season, beginning this week for the Texans' home-opening series against Stonehill College. The other four games of Tarleton's full 30-game home slate, March 14 vs. Oral Roberts, April 21-22 vs. New Mexico State, and May 6 vs. Grand Canyon, will broadcast on WAC International.

Of the remaining 20 Tarleton Softball home games, 15 of them will be broadcast on ESPN+, beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT when the Texans host North Texas. Tarleton's other five home games, which are March 10-12 vs. Houston, and a May 5 doubleheader vs. Stephen F. Austin, will be streamed on WAC International.

With the latest investment, Tarleton now has seven programs regularly visible on The Worldwide Leader in Sports. Tarleton Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Volleyball have had their games streamed on ESPN+ for two-plus seasons, and Women's Soccer joined the mix in their first season in 2022.

Season tickets are still available for Tarleton Baseball and Softball, and can be purchased at www.tarletonsports.com/tickets.
